Christmas is coming! The goose is getting fat!

I am getting more and more excited about the rapid apporach of Christmas. Almost all of my shopping is done, though I think I'll be handing out a few gift cards or portraits of dead politicians to those I've yet to think of a suitable gift for. I'd rather that than a gift they don't enjoy. Also, I've given up on having a Christmas picture done in time for the holiday. At the current rate, I'm unlikely to finish my Halloween picture before the new year rolls around. On the bright side, though, the past couple weeks I've pulled further ahead on the webcomic, further ensuring chances of missing an update are nill to none for the foreseeable future. No matter what people may think of the comic itself, I intend to be punctual if nothing else. That's not to say that I myself don't think the comic has its merits.
Once I'm more certain of my Otazine plans, something I have been wracking my brains over for the past several weeks, I hope to put some effort towards revamping the website. I plan to replace the current setup with some PHP script for the comic and my own weekly ramblings. I also want to make the site itself more...well, pretty. More visually appealling. I also want to add all sorts of extras, like rough sketches, maybe the original comic pages so people can indulge their morbid curiousity as to what I drew back in 1996 when the original incarnation of this comic came into being. I want to take the 'About' section and make it something worth visiting. More character artwork, better backstories, all sorts of stuff. I'll take time, though. In the meantime, enjoy this week's page. It's probably my favourite to date. Oh, and before I forget, I added the comic to one of those top 100 lists. I thought it might make for some good exposure. ~CJS |
