In addition to the early comic update, due to the convention this weekend, I've also reshot and uploaded the first animation I ever did in my time at the Art Institute. Hopefully I'll have more of it shot and ready to show off this weekend for the convention. I've started using Image Ready instead of Flash, and that has cut down the time it takes, drastically. Unfortunately, it only renders out to Quicktime. I dislike Quicktime. Whenever I make something a Quicktime file it is always much larger in filesize than an AVI, MPEG, DivX, or XviD, even if I drop the quality way down. I'll find a better alternative eventually, but for this weekend Quicktime will do.
Also, I have the webcomic finished up through page 31 currently. Other than a couple pages I'm happy to say that flipping from those first pages way back in May, to those I've been finishing up lately, there has been remarkable improvement. I hope that continues for as long as I'm working on the comic. Anyways, to celebrate, I have some big plans for whatever convention I wind up hitting after Reactor this weekend. I've been getting a lot of positive feedback on various forums, and even from a couple people I've met at conventions who've read the comic. Also, the website has been seeing a lot more traffic in the past three months. Many thanks to everyone, and I hope not to dissapoint in the future. ~CJS |
